What’s new?

Minolta XD-7

About two years ago, I acquired a Minolta XD-7 (black one with new Minolta logo, quite rare) along with some great primes (MD 28mm 1:2.8, MD 50mm 1:1,4 – both MD-III versions). The MD system, especially the XD series, still is magical to me. I made my first steps in photography with my father’s XD-5 more than 20 years ago, and my first camera ever was (and still is!) my beloved X-300s. Another XD-5 started my re-entry into photography in, I think, beginning of 2008 – I also bought the outstanding MD 85mm 1:2 (MD-III again) for a ridiculously low price back then.
These three tiny (and optically superb) primes, paired with the beautiful XD-7, now make up my smallest and lightest camera system, great for holidays with the family.

Have a look at the vivid, bright colours Portra 400 delivers – especially when processed and scanned properly. My preferred lab MeinFilmLab.de again delivered outstanding quality here.

Weltersbachtal

Shots from my first short hike with my new EOS 6D. This one was mainly purchased for family shots, but I have to say that I am quite impressed by the image quality it delivers (especially when paired with decent lenses).
